Object documentation End Point for the IDoc Adapter Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Definition

An end point of this type is an access point for the IDoc adapter. It is required by the outbound IDoc adapter for each logical receiver to which an IDoc is sent so that a physical address can be determined from the logical receiver.

The following parameters must be specified for the IDoc adapter for this end point type.

RFC Destination

Possible values:

·        SAP Release 3.0/3.1

Function module INBOUND_IDOC_PROCESS is used

·        SAP Release 4.0 or higher

Function module IDOC_INBOUND_ASYNCHRONOUS is used (for SAP releases 4.0A or higher)

Port

Receiver port of an IDoc transfer (adheres to the naming conventions of IDoc ports: SAP<System-Id>, for example SAPBCE)

SAP Release

Version of the receiver system

Integration

When you use an end point for an IDoc adapter, the logon data is already maintained by the RFC destination.

You can create end points for the IDoc adapter for both SAP and non-SAP systems acting as receiver systems.
