
Archiving and Deleting XML Messages
Use
You can archive or delete XML messages that the Integration Engine has processed correctly.
Correctly processed XML messages are deleted by default. All XML messages that are not deleted once they have been processed correctly must therefore be archived.
To archive XML messages, you must first
define their corresponding interfaces and then schedule the archiving jobs.You must carry out multiple archiving jobs to archive an XML message:
To delete XML messages, perform the following two jobs:
You can reschedule all jobs periodically, but you must maintain the job sequence.
You can
select and display archived XML messages.Prerequisites
You have defined the interfaces for the XML messages to be archived using Configuration ® Define Interfaces for Archiving and Retention Periods in the Integration Engine menu.
To archive XML messages, use the archiving object BC_XMB and use SAP_BC_XMB as the archiving infostructure. The archiving infostructure must be activated.
Schedule archiving jobs
To schedule archiving jobs, proceed as follows:
The system displays the SAP
archive administration screen that you can use to schedule your archiving jobs.
preparation,
write, and
delete jobs by choosing the corresponding action.
Read to start the read program for your archiving object to read already archived XML messages.
You can either start the read program in the background or in the dialog. For the latter, choose
Archived XML Messages (Search Using Archive) in the Integration Engine menu.
Administration
Statistics.

For performance reasons, the statistics values are generally imprecise.
Schedule deletion jobs
To schedule deletion jobs, proceed as follows:
For an overview of all jobs, choose Jobs. For each preparation job there must be a deletion job.
