Find Results

• With all of the words
  Type in words separated by blanks.
  Example: SAP NetWeaver Application Server
  The results contain all words you entered:
  SAP AND NetWeaver AND Application AND Server.
  When you start the search, AND is the default search mode.
  
• With the exact phrase
  Type in a phrase with quotation marks.
  Example: "SAP NetWeaver Application Server"
  The results contain the exact phrase you entered.
  
• With at least one of the words
  Type in words separated by blanks, and choose Search Mode OR.
  Example: SAP NetWeaver Application Server
  The results contain at least one of the words you entered:
  SAP OR NetWeaver OR Application OR Server
  
• With Placeholders
  Placeholders are characters (*, ?) that can represent other characters in a word you are searching for. Use placeholders to search for several similar words or if you do not know the exact spelling of a word.

  For a mistyped word, a similar word is suggested.

Refine Results

Refine your results by selecting the SAP Solution you need information about:

• SAP Solutions
  • mySAP ERP/Enterprise Resource Planning
  • SAP R/3 and R/3 Enterprise
  • SAP NetWeaver
  • SAP for Industries
  • mySAP Business Suite
  • SAP xApps
  • SAP Solution Manager
  • SAP Business One
• Area, Application, Release, and Language
  Depending on the SAP solution you have chosen, refine your results by Area, Application, Release and Language. Otherwise the default search options are used. On top of the result list you see the application and the language you searched in, for example Application: SAP NetWeaver / Language: English.
• Narrow Down by Info Class
  Narrow down your results by selecting info classes. An info class classifies documentation topics by content, so specific types of documentation are easier to find. Use BACKGROUND, COMPONENT, or OVERVIEW for basic information and FUNCTION, OBJECT, PROCEDURE, or PROCESS for details.
• Locate Word in Document (Highlighting)
  To locate the word in the document, click on the link highlight next to the document title in the search results list. The document appears in a new browser window with the word you have searched for highlighted in yellow.
• Locate Document in its SAP Library Structure
  To locate the document in its SAP Library Structure structure, click the icon next to the document title.
