Procedure documentationUpdating a Diagram to Reflect New Administrator Settings Locate this document in the navigation structure

After you have created the diagram, you need to update the diagram if you add, change, or delete any definitions for the mission, vision, perspectives and objectives in the Administrator.

If the Diagram Manager is open when you update the settings in the Administrator, you must close and reopen the Diagram Manager to see the changes reflected in the diagram.

Procedure

  1. Choose   Tools   Hide or Show Items   to display Select Items to Show on Diagram. If you added any new definitions in the Administrator, select them here to add them to the diagram.

  2. Check the diagram to see if you need to make any layout adjustments based on the additions, changes, or deletions of strategy definitions. Observe the following:

    • If a definition was added: In Auto-Layout mode, the new object is added to the diagram and the layout is automatically adjusted. In Design Manually mode, you must move the new object to its desired location and may need to make other layout changes to accommodate the added information. In Custom Image mode, you need to move the new hotspot object into place.

    • If a definition was changed: In Auto-Layout mode, the layout is automatically adjusted. In Design Manually mode, you may need to resize the object or move other objects to accommodate the updated information. In Custom Image mode, you may need to adjust the size or placement of the hotspot object.

    • If a definition was deleted: In Auto-Layout mode, the layout is automatically adjusted. In Design Manually mode, you may need to resize the object or move other objects to accommodate the deleted information. In Custom Image mode, you may need to adjust the size or placement of other hotspot objects.

  3. Save and publish the diagram.
