Searching for Bid Invitations 

Use

SAP Bidding Engine offers you, the purchaser, a comprehensive function with which you can search for bid invitations and bids. The search function varies according to the capacity in which you are conducting the search.

From the search results, you can also see the number of bids, if any, that have been submitted for a particular bid invitation. You can go directly from the search results screen to the actual bid.

Bidders can search for bid invitations with a view to submitting a bid, or for bids that they have already created. For more information see Searching for Bids.

Features

When you search for a bid invitation as a purchaser, you can conduct a simple search using:

·        Bid invitation number

·        Bid invitation name

·        Status

·        Last processed

Or you can extend the search to include:

·        Purchasing organization

·        Submission deadline

·        Product category (additional search function provided for this)

·        Template

·        My bid invitations

The results of your search are displayed in a list. For each bid invitation you can see the following:

You can sort the list in ascending or descending order by choosing the name of the relevant column.

 

Column Name	Comment
Number	Choose the number of the relevant bid invitation to go directly to it
Name	Name of the bid invitation
Purchasing organization	Purchasing organization of the bid invitation
Status	Whether, for example, the bid invitation has been created but is still being processed, or whether it has already been published
Submission deadline	Refers to the date by which all bids must be submitted
Number of bids	Number of bids that have already been submitted
Action	Choose the pencil icon in this column to make changes to the bid invitation. You can notify bidders of any changes to the bid invitation by sending an e-mail.  You can no longer make any changes if a winner has been determined for the bid invitation or if the whole bid invitation process has been completed.
