  2.  Under Detailed Navigation, choose Service Configuration ® Application ® ® Services.

  3.  Double-click Service.

  4.  Enter the required data.

Properties of the Role Upload Service

Activate detailed information for debugging.

Enables the inclusion of debugging information in the upload log. Set this property to true if errors occur during an upload and you need help determining the cause of the problem.

For normal operation, we recommend you set this property to false. Upload takes considerably longer when this feature is enabled.

Add folder for top level services

By default the upload service creates a top-level folder for roles with top-level services. When you upload an ABAP role, the portal adds any top-level services from the role to the top-level services folder of the resulting portal role. Set this property to false to upload the ABAP role as configured in the SAP NetWeaver Application Server (AS) ABAP without creating a top-level services folder in the portal.

Best fit leaf level

Determines how much of the Best Fit role structure appears in the Detailed Navigation. This determines at what level the Service Map iView appears.

We recommend a value between 3 and 5.

ID Prefix for migration objects

Defines an ID prefix for the uploaded objects. You can overwrite this value during an upload.

Note the length of the ID prefix. If an object ID that is created for the object in the PCD exceeds the character length of 100, the object cannot be uploaded.

Name list: Preconfigurable sets for upload. Use area1,area2,area3

Enter a comma (,) separated list of names to enable templates for role upload. With templates, you can store a list of objects for the upload together with the upload options. This property defines the names for the available templates.

For more information, see Defining Settings for the Upload.

Navigation folder template active.

See Configuring the Role Upload Service for Workset Templates.

Navigation folder template link to be replaced with link to uploaded role content.

See Configuring the Role Upload Service for Workset Templates.

Navigation folder template unit path.

See Configuring the Role Upload Service for Workset Templates.

Restrict user assignments according to backend system.

This setting ensures that the role-user assignment in the back-end system is identical to the role-user assignment in the portal, when the system is configured for user mapping. The default setting is true. When true, the system removes user assignments in the portal if they do not correspond to those in the back-end system. If you set the property to false, the system retains assignments in the portal and only adds the back-end assignments.

Role target folder

Defines a folder other than the default upload folder for roles (see Root path for migration objects).

The folder in the Portal Catalog must reside under the node Portal Content. Always specify the prefix portal_content/ when you enter the target folder.

Role target folder collision check inactive

Set to true to enables a collision check during the upload. If you defined a different folder for uploading the roles, the role IDs can collide. This happens if roles are uploaded from different systems and the same Portal Content Directory ID is assigned for more than one role.

Root path for migration objects.

Defines the default folder and path under which the uploaded objects can be found in the portal. The path is portal_content/ If required, you can also define another storage location in the Portal Catalog here. For more information, see Object Storage in the Portal Catalog.

Transaction gui type (Options: default, WebGui, JavaGui, WinGui)

Overrides the default version of SAP GUI to use for launching transactions.

JavaGui = SAP GUI for Java

WebGui = SAP GUI for HTML

WinGui = SAP GUI for Windows

Use always master language from upload option

Determines if the master language of the back-end system or the master language you selected in the upload options should be used during the upload. If false the master language of the back-end system is always used.

If true, the master language you entered in the upload options is used.

Use default alias as system identifier

By default the logical system stored in the portal system is always used for identification. Set the property to true, to use the default alias for identification. The values selected and default are for internal use only.

Use sort priorities (from,to)

For internal use only.
