Create Solution from a Work Center
You create Solutions to use in Solution Manager projects.
You are authorized to create and process solutions. For further information, see the SAP Service Marketplace under internet address .
You use the work center System Administration, System Landscape Management, or System Monitoring.
Choose Create Solution in the Setup view in the work center.
Enter a name for your solution, and choose a language.
Flag the leading system role for your solution.
You can edit the list of system roles:
Add other system roles: Choose Select System Roles and select and copy entries.
Note
There are pre-defined system roles. You can specify your own system roles in the Solution Manager system landscape. Choose the transaction SMSY in the SAP EasyAccess screen in the SAP GUI for Windows. See Specifying and Processing System Roles for further information.
Change entries sequence: Select a row, and choose Up or Down.
Remove entry: Select rows and choose Remove.
Save your solution.
You can assign logical components to your solution in the Solution Landscape tab, as follows:
Insert existing logical component
Choose Insert Existing Logical Component. You go to the Select Logical Component screen.
Enter the name of the component in the Logical Component field, or select from the value help. You restrict the selection of logical components in the value help, by selecting a product version, main instance, or system.
Confirm.
Assign systems to your logical component. Choose the value help in the system role column, select a system, and copy.
Save the logical component, if you are prompted to do so.
Create new logical component
Choose Create New Logical Component. You can:
create logical components from a product version and/or main instance
Enter a name for the logical component, and choose a product version and/or main instance from the value help.
Assign systems to your logical component. Choose the value help in the system role column, select a system, and copy.

Enter a name for the logical component.
Choose the system type from the value help for the leading system role column, and confirm. You go to the System Value Help screen.
Choose a system. If you have selected an ABAP system, expand the node and select the system client.
Confirm. The system main instance and product version are passed automatically. If there are several main instances or product versions, choose from the value help.
Assign other systems in system roles to your logical component. Only relevant systems are in the value help.
Save the logical component, if you are prompted to do so.
Save the solution.
