Alert Inbox
This function displays and processes Computing Center Management System (CCMS) alerts.
You have:
System Monitoring work center authorization
authorization for the solution to be monitored
Set-up system monitoring in Solution Manager customizing
The system dsplays the number of alerts, grouped by status, according to your active query.
Speciy the frequency with which all alerts are to be refreshed. The default value is every 900 seconds.
There are two views available:
Current status
Current alerts with CCMS status, depending on your current query.
Open Alerts
All open alerts.
Note
You can also choose from among list views which you have specified yourself. The System Alerts view is available by default. For more information, see Using Lists.
When you select an alert, you get the following information:
Details
For example, alert ID and status threshold values.
History
The last ten alert status and KPI values.
Documentation
Any information about the reason for the alert and processing proposals, in CCMS, are displayed.
You may be able to display the analysis method for the alert via a hyperlink. The analysis method can give you context information for processing an alert.
This function is in the Current Status display.
To hide an alert temporarily, e.g. while processing it, choose Reset. The alert is temporarily not shown in the Current Status display, it is only in the Open Alerts display.
You can reset several alerts at the same time.
This function is in the Open Alerts display.
To hide an alert permanently, e.g. after it has been processed, choose Close.
You can reset several alerts at the same time.
You can create a support message from an alert. Choose Create Message. The system passes the relevant information automatically. Complete the message with the required entries.
To create a message for several alerts, e.g. to provide context information, select the alerts (multiple selection) and select Create Message.
When you have created the message, the alerts are no longer displayed.
