ProcedureScheduling a Job Directly

 

You want to schedule a job directly, that is without creating job documentation for it in advance, in a system connected to the SAP Solution Manager.

Prerequisites

  • You have made the necessary system settings for the Planning a Job scenario in Customizing of the SAP Solution Manager under   Configuration   Scenario-Specific Settings   Planning a Job  .

  • You have processed your system landscape in the SAP Solution Manager (transaction SMSY). See Logical Components for further information.

  • You have set up the RFC connection to the system in SAP Solution Manager (transaction SMSY).

  • You have assigned the authorization for the BC-XBP interface and job scheduling to the RFC user.

  • You have opened the Job Scheduling application.

Procedure

  1. Select a system for the scheduling.

  2. Choose Next.

  3. Choose the scheduling method:

    To schedule a job directly using an RFC connection of the SAP Solution Manager system, choose BC-XDP.
