Editing View Settings
Views allow you to look at lists from different perspectives. There is a default view available for each list. You can define your own views to display all the data according to specific criteria and to better prepare the information for your current task.
You have called the list for which you want to edit the view.
Click on Settings.
Depending on the list, you can edit the following settings:

Column Selection |
You choose the columns, and therefore the data, that the system displays in the list and you change the order of the columns displayed. |
Ordering |
You define the ordering for individual columns, for example, ascending order. |
Calculating |
You define the calculating for specific columns, for example, counting table entries. |
Filter |
You define filter values for a column and thereby restrict the objects displayed. For further information, see Deleting and Setting Filters. |
Icon |
You define the table appearance, for example, the number of columns and rows. |
You can copy the settings to the current view or save them as a new view.
To save the settings as a new view, click on Save as and enter a description. You can define this view as the initial view and specify the assignment.
If you have defined the settings as a new view, you can delete this view again. You cannot delete the default view.
