ProcedureWorking with the Job Documentation Overview

 

You want to get an overview of the job documentation available. The job documentation overview offers a selection of the available job documentation in the form of a list. You can adjust this selection with various selection criteria. Furthermore, you can create new documentation and open and edit existing job documentation.

Prerequisites

  • You have made the necessary system settings for the Planning a Job scenario in Customizing of the SAP Solution Manager under   Configuration   Scenario-Specific Settings   Planning a Job  .

  • You have opened the Job Documentation Overview application.

Procedure

Displaying Job Documentation

  1. Select job documentation.

  2. Choose   Job Documentation   Display  .

The system displays the selected job documentation.

Changing Job Documentation

  1. Select job documentation.

  2. Choose   Job Documentation   Display  .

    You go to the required job documentation.

  3. Choose Change.

    You get to the change mode. See Creating and Editing Job Documentation for further information.

Creating Job Documentation

Copying Job Documentation

  1. Select job documentation.

  2. Choose   Job Documentation   Copy  .

You find the copy using the name prefix Copy of x where x stands for the name of the source documentation.

Deleting Job Documentation

  1. Select job documentation.

  2. Choose   Job Documentation   Delete  .

The system deletes the selected job documentation.

Create new version

You can create a new version to save the old status of the job documentation before any changes.

  1. Select job documentation.

  2. Choose   Job Documentation   Create Version  .

The system creates a new version of the job documentation.

Activating or Deactivating Job Monitoring

When you have configured the job monitoring, you can activate or deactivate the job monitoring of the business process monitoring for one or multiple jobs. You do not need to open the job documentation for this.

  1. Select one or more job documentation.

  2. Choose   Job Monitoring   Activate   or Deactivate.

Activating or Deactivating Change Monitoring

You can activate or deactivate the change monitoring of the Change Management for one or multiple job documentation. The change authorization is valid for the user that the change document is currently assigned to.

  1. Select one or more job documentation.

  2. Choose   Change Monitoring   Activate   or Deactivate.

Updating the Overview List

  • To update the overview content, choose Update.

Exporting the Overview List to MS Excel

  • Choose   Export   Export to Excel  .
