Creating and Editing Job Documentation
With this function you can create and edit job documentation. You can store information for the following areas:
Job and associated steps
Business process steps with their logical components and associated systems; Business process monitoring
Business requirements and priority, as well as the responsible organization
Problem-handling procedure
Your contacts for scheduling, monitoring, development and system landscape.
Scheduling restrictions
References to existing documentation
List of all assigned job requests
You have made the necessary system settings for the Planning a Job scenario in Customizing of the SAP Solution Manager under .
Depending on the scenarios you set up, you must perform the following settings:
You have entered the data of your system landscape in the system landscape maintenance (transaction SMSY). See Logical Components for further information.
You have created the business processes in the system landscape maintenance (transaction SMSY).
You have activated business process monitoring, to monitor background processing. For further information, see Business Process Monitoring.
You have set up the RFC connection to the productive system in the system landscape management (transaction SMSY).
You have assigned the authorizations for the BC-XBP interface and job scheduling to the RFC users.
You have opened the Job Documentation application.
