The Database Analyzer searches at regular intervals for bottlenecks that have occurred in the database system, such as low cache hit rates or negative values for table search processes. The result of this analysis is displayed in text format, to provide database administrators with a quick overview of possible causes of performance problems.
Start the Database Analyzer by choosing Bottleneck Analysis ® DB Analyzer ® Start Analysis. Choose a collection interval for the statistical data.
You see the results of today’s Database Analyzer bottleneck analysis (log dban.prt), if it exists.
Each warning or information message is shown in a separate line. Double-click a line of the log to see all the Database Analyzer log entries for this line. Choose Expand All to see the entire Database Analyzer log.
