Use

This release note covers the various changes and enhancements in the area of BW-BPS (Business Planning and Simulation).

Planning Functions

...

       1.      You can now also use key figures of type Floating Point Format for currency translation and unit conversion.

       2.      You can now use variables with multiple values as to-values when you perform the copy function.

       3.      Several enhancements have been made to planning functions of type Formula. For more information, see the F1 help in the formula editor.

Directory Programs

You can display the objects in your planning model on the screen hierarchically with all relevant subobjects in special directory programs. You can print the resulting directories. The system displays planning objects, Web interfaces and planning folders according to user-specific selections.

Manual Planning

Reference data and plan data that are to be edited are handled separately so that reference data is no longer locked. You switch on this function in table UPC_DARK2.

Inheriting +/- signs for totals, budgeting and +/- sign indicators: totals and internal hierarchy nodes were previously always positive numbers. Change: If the +/- sign is the same for all totals it is copied. Otherwise it is '+'. In budgeting, the sign for all totals can equally now be '-'. The budget check is modified accordingly.

Lock Server

In the context of BI integrated planning development, the lock concept has also been enhanced for BW-BPS (see Locking Transaction Data in Planning (Changed)).
