Use

The Display and Control an Overview of the Job Nets function enables you to find the status of the job nets started and to control the job nets, such as restart, using detailed information.

Prerequisites

Restarting processing of a job net is only possible if you have chosen Cross-Application Components ® General Application Functions ® Parallel Processing and Job Control ® Define Job Nets in the Implementation Guide (IMG) and set the Restart or Restart Possible or Restart in the Context of Parallel Processing indicator as restart mode for reports.

Procedure

In the application menu, use transaction BCANK_JC_OVRVW to call up report RBANK_JC_OVERVIEW.

Change the preset current date if you require and overview of a different period.

If applicable, change the name of the user who started the job nets to be selected.

Start the program.

You will see a list of the job nets started in the selected period, with the following information:

¡        Process flow number and clear and unmistakable identification of the job net

¡        Execution date, user name of the starter, status

§         1 waiting, meaning the job net has not yet been started

§         2 active

§         3 to be restarted

§         4 completed

You have to maintain this list. Entries are not deleted automatically. If you wish to delete entries, select these entries and choose Edit ® Delete. If you confirm the query, the selected entries are deleted.

Double-click on a run.

You will see a detailed list of the reports of this job net.

The list contains the following data:

¡        Clear and unmistakable identification of the job (report) within the job net

¡        Network level: Minimum number of jobs as predecessors in the job net

¡        Name and description of the report and the variant

¡        Technical status of the processing of the job (report): Not yet started, released, active, completed, terminated, stopped, skipped

¡        Return code from the application: Completed successfully, completed with warning, completed with single error(s), terminated, asynchronous processing still active, undefined

¡        Number of starts

¡        Job name

¡        Job number: Identification number of the batch job

You can control the further processing of the job nets using this list:

¡        Display network graphic

¡        Stop (active) process flow

¡        Change selection parameters of a report

¡        Start restart

¡        Continue processing from last termination or after last termination

If you require an overview of the job net, choose Display Network Graphic. The hierarchy of your job net is displayed to you by way of the Structure linkSAP Network Graphic.

If you wish to change processing of a job before processing further, choose Change Selection Parameters.

If you wish to further process a job net with the status To Be Restarted, choose Restart.

Jobs that cannot be restarted and jobs that are already completed are skipped when you restart a report.

If you wish to continue a job net with the status To Be Restarted, choose Continue. In this case you must also define as of which point the last processing is to be continued: From the terminated job or after the terminated job.
