Depending on the phase in which an error occurs in the archiving process, different reactions are possible:

• If the write program terminates after the first archive file was already opened, then you have to explain first why this archiving run is invalid before you can restart the archiving process. By setting this property, you also removed the set locks for the InfoProvider when starting the write program.
• If the writing phase is successfully completed, and the error occurs in the verification phase, then you can do two things depending on the cause of the error, such as a temporary problem when accessing the archive file. You can either restart the delete program, or you can declare the archiving run invalid and can reset the archiving process with the same selection criteria.
• If an error occurs in the actual deletion phase or in the subsequent confirmation phase, you have to remove the cause of the error and, afterwards, reschedule the deletion program.
