Procedure documentation Defining a Copy Task Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Procedure

...

      1.      Create a copy task (in the process view of the workbench under Consolidation Functions ® Data Collection ® Copy Task).

      2.      Enter a short name and a medium name for the task.

      3.      Specify which data streams are copied.

      4.      Optional: Specify one or more source tasks.

If no source task is assigned, the system does not check the status of the source data (as in a data collection task with the copy method).

      5.      Assign a consolidation frequency.

      6.      Make the following settings for each relevant period category. To do this, select the each period category separately.

      7.      If you have chosen Dependent on Consolidation Unit, specify the consolidation unit (or units) the task applies to.

      8.      Specify a method for each consolidation unit.

      9.      Choose whether the consolidation unit is applicable to the task. If the consolidation unit is applicable, you need to specify a method for the consolidation unit.

Note

This option is only meaningful if you have chosen Dependent on Consolidation Unit.

At the time of task execution, for each consolidation unit you either need to have specified a method or may not have selected the Relevant indicator. If this is not the case (for example, because the consolidation unit was not specified at all), the system displays an error message because of the missing method assignment. Reasoning: You can explicitly exclude consolidation units from processing. However, typically all consolidation units are always automatically processed.

   10.      Specify whether you want to save the log of the last task execution in update mode.

   11.      Specify whether the log should be displayed when the task is executed.

   12.      Save the copy task.

Result

Now you can execute the copy task in the consolidation monitor for all consolidation units you have specified.
