You make the Customizing settings for manual data entry to enable the execution of that activity in the consolidation monitor.
If you want to be able to enter data on hierarchy nodes, you must have selected the corresponding indicator in the definition of version combinations. See also the section Customizing of Versions.

1. Define a data entry layout within a data entry group.
2. Define a data collection method and assign a data entry group to that data collection method.
3. Define a task for manual entry of reported financial data and assign the data collection method to that task.
