Creating Process Routes
You
can define which employees are involved in the processing of cases. You can
determine an activity (such as co-signing) for each employee you enter in the
process route and also define whether the case should be processed
sequentially or in parallel. You can either enter the employees sequentially
in (
Insert Sequentially), or parallel
(
Insert Parallel).
If you process the standardized business transactions and the process route should be the same for them, you can save a defined process route as a template and then assign this template to a new case.
You are in Processing Area: Case and are processing a case with status New. The process route of a case only starts if the status of the case is set to In Processing.
The Workflow Customizing must be set up because the process route is based on SAP Business Workflow. For more information, see note 527668.
To create a process route for a case:
...
1.
Select
Process Route in the function bar
under attributes.
2.
Select
Header Data and enter the header data
for the process route.
You can find out the meaning of the individual fields in the field help.
3.
Select
Insert New Process Route Item
(Continue).
4. Insert process route items. You have the following options when entering process route items:
a.
You can
insert the items sequentially by selecting
Insert
Sequentially.
The process route item is inserted after the item on which your cursor is placed. The Work Item is automatically sent once the processor of the preceding process route item has finished their work item.
b.
You can
insert the items in parallel by selecting
Insert
Parallel.
The process route item is inserted in parallel with the item on which your cursor is placed. The parallel employee receives a work item as soon as the processor of the preceding item has finished their work item.
The screen Add Process Route Item appears. In the upper screen area, you find the process route items on which you have currently placed your cursor. In the lower screen area, you can determine the characteristics of the new process route item. You can find out the meaning of the individual fields in the field help.
5.
Select
Insert New Process Route Item
(Continue).
The new process route item is displayed in the overview tree.
6.
To check the
process route after all process route items have been inserted, select
Check Process Route.
7. To start the process route, you have to set the status of the case to In Processing in the attributes and save the case.
8.
To save the
cases and the process route, select
Save in the function bar above the
attribute.
If the
case was saved with the status In Processing, the processor of the
first process route item receives the case as a work item in the folder
New Cases of their worklist. If the
processor executes the work item, they go directly to the case. When the
process route item has been processed, the following processor receives a work
item in their worklist.
The
case is moved from the folder
Cases
In Processing to the folder
Current Cases of
the processor who initiated the process.
