Custom Attributes 
Definition
Attributes, which are freely defined by the customer and used to further describe characteristics.
Characteristic: Company (with the role consolidation unit)
Attribute of consolidation units: plant type; Values: manufacturing, sales, management
Use
Custom attributes are used as attributes of characteristics.
The attributes are then available in the definition of queries as navigation attributes, that is, you can use them as criteria for selecting data.
Structure
In customizing you define:
· the attributes themselves
· the values of each attribute
Integration
You define attributes in BW, in InfoObject maintenance.
You create the values for attributes in the consolidation workbench.
