Web Interface
In addition to the SAP GUI, you can also define Web interface transactions that run in a Web browser. You configure the connection between SAP Event Management (SAP EM) and the Web by creating Web interface transactions and user profiles in SAP EM in accordance with your own requirements.
Depending on the user profiles that you have defined and the fields that you have assigned to these profiles, SAP EM makes a corresponding Web layout available.
· You install the Web interface in addition to SAP EM. The Web interface consists of the following development components:
¡ Program code (Java classes)
¡ User interfaces (JavaServer Pages)
To use the Web interface, you must install the SAP standard Java components.

For more information about installing and integrating the Web interface, see the SAP Service Marketplace under service.sap.com/instguides ® mySAP Business Suite Solutions ® mySAP SCM ® Using SAP SCM 5.0 Server ® Installation Guide – WCL 5.0.
· The Web interface buffers the user profiles. If you configure the user profiles and want to see your changes immediately in the Web interface, you can switch off buffering.

For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for SAP Supply Chain Management under Event Management ® Event Messages, Status Queries, and Web Interface ® Web Interface ® Define Web Interface.
You can use the Web interface to:
· Query information from SAP EM about one or more event handlers
· Send event messages to SAP EM
· Have the system display the document flow network belonging to an event handler
Only the Web interface displays the network. You cannot display the network in SAP EM.
If you have the appropriate authorization in your user profile, the authorization concept allows you to have the system display detail information about the network and to execute a drilldown. In you user profile, you might, on the one hand, have authorization to display the relationship between event handlers, but, on the other hand, not have authorization to display detail information about a network or to execute a drilldown.
The Web interface does not display any detail information about event handlers that are marked for deletion in SAP EM, and does not allow you to execute a drilldown.

· The assignment of roles to user profiles
· The order of events for all event handlers belonging to a set using an event consolidation profile
