Use of the Event Handler Detail
Overview
To display the following detailed information about an event handler, you call the event handler detail overview from the event handler overview:
● Header data and all parameters (system, control, and info parameters)
● History of the expected events and measurements

For example, you can use the history to establish if an expected event has been reported several times and if a reason was provided each time. You can use relevant key figures in SAP NetWeaver usage type Business Intelligence to evaluate this information.
Expected events and measurements can change as a result of the following:
○ Data update from the application system (for example, Arrival at Customer at 13:00 instead of 12:00).
○ Data update when an event message is sent.
○ Data update when a BAPI is called.
● Event message information (for example, external event code set, sender name, or location code ID)
● Tasks with their rules and activities
● Tracking IDs, query IDs, and authorization data
● Status details, error messages, and measurements
● Relevant network for an event handler in the document flow (see also Displaying a Network)
● Change documents relevant to an event handler
● To use the functions for changing event handlers and their data (for example, Lock and Unlock) in the event handler detail overview, you have maintained the authorization data and generated profiles for your user role. Here you have used the authorization object X_EM_EH_CH in the EM class.
● You have set the Document Flow indicator in the user profile in Customizing under Event Management ® Event Messages and Status Queries ® Web Interface ® Define User Profiles. As a result, the Web interface automatically displays the link to the document flow network that belongs to an event handler.
If you have the appropriate authorizations, you can change the following event handler data manually:
● Set the event handler header data to status changeable/not changeable.
● Activate/deactivate event handlers
You can enable or disable event message processing for an event handler so that these event messages are either processed or are not processed in SAP Event Management and the event handler data is either updated or is not updated.
● Activate/deactivate the application log and specify the degree of detail for logging
The system logs all activities that occur during event handler processing.
● Simulate the reprocessing of event messages that have been sent for the selected event handler (with its actual data) without updating the event handler.
In this way, you can check the processing logic of an event handler and see how processing occurs in the rule set in step-by-step detail.

2. Select the event handler that you want to change.
