Visibility Processes
SAP delivers predefined visibility processes that describe part of a business process. Processes are modular and can occur in several business processes. To map a complete business process, you can combine or enhance visibility processes on a project basis.
Preconfigured system settings are provided for the entire visibility process when a visibility process is implemented.

For a scenario description and configuration guide for all visibility processes delivered by SAP, see the SAP Service Marketplace under service.sap.com/scm ® Supply Chain Event Management ® Visibility Processes.
The following are examples of standard visibility processes:
· Fulfillment visibility process
· Transportation visibility process
· Production malfunction visibility process
· Procurement visibility process
· Outbound delivery visibility process
· Outbound/inbound delivery visibility process
· Returnable transport item visibility process
An example of an industry-specific visibility process is the seasonal procurement visibility process.
For more information about the availability of visibility processes, see SAP Note 677373.
A visibility process contains the following components:
· Interfaces to SAP application systems
· Customizing for rules, statuses, and expected events
· Various user interfaces for sending event messages and querying information
· Extractors for transferring data from SAP Event Management (SAP EM) to SAP Business Information Warehouse (SAP BW)
Each visibility process contains an example of a supply chain event management application area and the system structure. After you have installed SAP EM, you can transfer this visibility process to your business scenario.
The following figure provides an overview of the components that make up a visibility process described above:
