Function documentation Search Functions in SAP Business One Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

SAP Business One enables you to search for different data stored in the application. You can search for business partners, items, documents, and so on. In addition, you can choose various search methods. For example, you can enter one or more words or numbers to make your search more specific. Or you may enter wildcard characters to extend your search results.

Example

A customer calls and complains about continuous late deliveries. While you negotiate with the customer, check when the last contact was and whether anyone has responded to the customer complaints.

In addition, verify whether the customer has any open sales orders that require an urgent delivery.

Alternatively, you create a new sales order similar to the previous one. The customer wants add to order other items to that order. You look for items that may interest the customer and make an attractive offer while you still have a conversation.

In this example, you use numerous search options to quickly respond to the customer’s complaints and to solve the problem.
