Use

The Field is an element that you use to enter and maintain a particular category of data.

SAP Business One supports numeric, alphanumeric, and date fields. The numeric fields include telephone numbers, prices, discounts, and tax rates. Alphanumeric fields enable you to enter digits, letters, and special characters. The date fields allow you to enter dates or to view the predefined dates.

You can enter data in the fields in the Add mode. Type in details or choose the relevant details from the Choose from List window. If a field is disabled, it is grey and you are not able either to fill it, or to change data in it.

To move between active fields in a window, use Tab or the mouse. To return to a previous active window, choose Tab+Shift.

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

However, in mandatory fields, such as the Item Number in documents, Tab opens a Choose from List window.

The field information is displayed in the status bar.
