The main purpose of this iView is to enable the collection of planning information.
The iView is structured as follows:
In the upper screen area, all the planning activities are available as steps in a roadmap. If you have not set the indicator Display Objects in Hierarchy in Customizing of the relevant step, then the roadmap contains in addition all subordinate substeps. A planning step can either correspond to a planning activity or cover several substeps.
Once the planer has selected a step in the roadmap, a hierarchy is displayed in the lower left of the screen that includes the step and any related substeps. In addition, the hierarchy can contain the objects (such as cost centers) available in the substeps depending on the type of planning activity, providing the indicator Display Objects in Hierarchy has been set in Customizing. Using the hyperlinks in the hierarchy, planners can access substeps and objects direct. However, the multiple selection of objects is not possible in the case of a hierarchy with object display.
If the planer has selected a substep in the roadmap or using the hierarchy, then for planning services with object selection the available objects are displayed in the lower left of the screen (see Object Selection).
For the Planning Elements, users can enter comments using a symbol in the hierarchy or object view (see Comments). The symbol shows whether comments already exist for a planning element. For status relevant steps (where the indicator Not Status Relevant has not been set in Customizing for the step), an additional symbol shows the current status of the planning elements and enables you to set a particular status (see Status Concept). If the delegation of planning elements is allowed in Customizing of the planning instance, the hierarchy or object view also displays whether the planner has delegated a planning element for processing by an additional planner.
The context area is found on the right of the screen under the roadmap. This is where texts, documents or URLs are available that you have assigned to the relevant step in Customizing (see Configuration of a Planning Scenario). All of the section elements defined in Customizing of the context area are represented by the system as pushbuttons, where the Name of the section is on the button as a text, and the order of pushbuttons corresponds to the sections and elements in Customizing. Using the pushbuttons, the planner can access the planning services assigned to the elements.
Depending on the object or substep selected, the relevant planning service assigned is called up in the lower right-hand screen area, which the planner uses to execute the actual activity, such as entering the plan data (see Planning Services).
This iView is used in the Business Package for Manager Self-Service and Business Package for Business Unit Analyst.
