Function documentationUpload of Referential Data (Bank Master Data) Locate this document in the navigation structure

You use this report to upload external bank master data provided by a financial association or cooperative such as SWIFT in a file with a standardized data structure.

Prerequisites

  • You have obtained the most recent bank master data from the data provider, for example, SWIFT.

  • You have saved the file containing the bank master data on the server from where you want to upload the file, for example, a BICPlusIBAN file.

Features

This report uploads the data records for a specific data model in a file provided by an external data provider. The system validates the data structure. If the data structure is correct, the system maps the data records to the data structure defined in Payment Engine and stores the data records in a database that you can access to display, check, and change data records.

Example

Full Upload

You want to upload a file that contains information (bank master data) related to financial institutions that are members of SWIFT. In Data Model, you choose Bank Master. In Data Provider, you choose SWIFT.

The database contains no bank master data and the file contains a large number of data records. In Max. Package Size, you enter 1000 to reduce the number of data records that are uploaded to one thousand. You repeat the procedure, but also choose Delta Upload to avoid overwriting the data records that you have already uploaded.

Delta Upload

You want to upload a file that contains information (bank master data) related to financial institutions that are members of SWIFT. In Data Model, you choose Bank Master. In Data Provider, you choose SWIFT.

The database already contains data records and you only want to update the database with new or changed data records. You choose Delta Upload to upload only updated data records to reduce the upload time.
