Software Life-Cycle Management 

Once you have installed and configured your software landscape, you will need to keep adapting it to changing requirements. For example, you may need to react to changes in the organization of your enterprise, provide new functions, or implement any improvements to the quality of SAP components shipped by SAP at regular intervals.

The functions of Software Life-Cycle Management standardize and automate the distribution and maintenance of software in complex software landscapes.

Software Life-Cycle Management provides you with change management tools that enable you to react flexibly to changing requirements consistently and across different solutions.

The following tasks can arise in Software Life-Cycle Management:

●      System landscape maintenance with SLD

●      Importing support packages

When you import Support Packages, you can either import them with the CE update tool or use the expert mode of Java Support Package Manager (JSPM).
