Use

After full installation, and before manual configuration, you can run the NetWeaver configuration wizard to initially set up your SAP NetWeaver system. More information: Configuration Wizard and SAP Note 923359.

Caution

Since the basic configuration steps for usage type PI are part of the wizard-based NetWeaver initial setup, do not execute this configuration wizard again if you have already done so.

The wizard-based NetWeaver initial setup performs the following basic configuration steps for usage type PI . If you have not used or do not want to use the NetWeaver initial setup to perform these basic configuration steps, you have to carry out these steps manually as outlined in the step descriptions accessed by the following hyperlinks:

·        Generating profiles for ABAP roles

·        Creating ABAP users

·        Assigning ABAP roles

·        Assigning application roles to user groups

·        Checking PI services

·        Importing the exchange profile

·        Importing ESR content

      Performing automatic customizing

      Maintaining a product for the technical system

      Maintaining a business system for the Integration Server

      Creating RFC destinations on AS ABAP

      Creating RFC destinations on both AS ABAP and AS Java

      Creating the HTTP destination pmistore

      Configuring the role of the Integration Server

      Registering queues used by the Integration Server

      Triggering the self-registration of the Advanced Adapter Engine

      Activating the required ICF services

You have installed the XI add-on (APPINT 200_620) on each business system that is based on SAP Web Application Server (AS) 6.20 and that you want to connect to SAP NetWeaver PI.

Note

Use SAP Web AS 6.20 kernel patch level 1253 if you want to generate new ABAP proxies in your business systems based on SAP Web AS 6.20.

SAP Note 439915; if you generate ABAP proxies, refer to SAP Note 721160.

The connection between the Integration Server and the SLD has been established by calling transaction SLDCHECK.

The system displays a log that lists the current configuration data, the function test results, errors, and notes for checking.
