Configuring the ICF Service 

Use

SAP NetWeaver Mobile provides a default ICF service called DOE_TIMESERVICE. This service is used by the Time Agent, which synchronizes the date and time on client devices with the date and time in the DOE.

Every time the agent tries to access the DOE_TIMESERVICE in the SAP NetWeaver Application Server, the DOE prompts the agent for logon details such as user name and logon password. Configuring the DOE_TIMESERVICE enables the agent to access the service without entering the logon details.

Prerequisites

You have administration rights on the SAP NetWeaver Application Server.

Procedure

...

       1.      Log on to SAP NetWeaver Application Server and start transaction SICF.

       2.      Enter DOE_TIMESERVICE as the service name.

       3.      Choose Execute.

       4.      Choose Service/ Host  → Display/ Change.

       5.      Choose Change.

       6.      Choose the Logon Data tab, and ensure that the logon data has the following values:

Parameters	Action
Procedure	Select Standard
Use All Logon Procedures indicator	Enable the indicator
User	Enter a user name. The user must be an administrator on the system.
Password	Enter the password

       7.      Choose Save.
