Configuring Mobile Client for Laptops 

Use

Configuration parameters for the mobile client include settings for user, synchronization, message and protocol. User settings and synchronization settings are mandatory configuration activities for the device.

If you are rolling out a number of devices from the Data Orchestration Engine (DOE) using the Mass Device Setup feature, then you can preconfigure the mobile client using agents. You then need not perform the steps mentioned in this procedure.

If you install the mobile client on a device manually, either you or the device user must perform the mandatory configuration steps listed in the procedure.
