Data Acquisition 
Data acquisition is one of the data warehousing processes in BW. BW provides mechanisms for acquiring data (master data, transaction data, metadata) from various sources.
The following sections describe the sources available for the data transfer to BW and how the sources are connected to the BW system as source systems. They also describe how the data can be transferred from the sources.
