Enterprise Search supports third-party Web search services. To allow search results from a Web service to be displayed in the Search UI, you connect the Web service from which you want to include results to Enterprise Search.

Prerequisites

  • The Web service must be based on SOAP.

  • The Web service must have a simple structure: No complex input or output signature.

  • WSDL must not require authentication.

To connect a Web service to Enterprise Search you require the following information:

  • URL of the WSDL file

  • If an API key is required, you must get one from the Web service provider.
