Using JCo Monitoring you can analyze JCo connections, organize the metadata cache and change the settings for JCo traces.

Procedure

To execute administration of SAP JCo, proceed as follows:

Monitoring Connections
  1. In SAP NetWeaver Administrator select   Resource Monitoring   JCo Monitoring   Connection Monitoring  . In this list you find information about all JCo connections.

  2. To see details of a JCo connection, select the required connection. The relevant connection attributes are displayed in the lower part of the window.

Displaying and Clearing the Metadata Cache
  1. In SAP NetWeaver Administrator select   Resource Monitoring   JCo Monitoring   Metadata Cache  

  2. Select the required application server to display the related data of the metadata cache in the lower screen area.

  3. If you want to clear the entire metadata cache for one or more servers, select the relevant server and choose the pushbutton Clear in the ABAP Application Servers area.

  4. If you want to delete individual elements in the metadata cache, select the required server in the ABAP Application Servers area. Then select the relevant elements in the Repository Cache area and select the pushbutton Clear in the Repository Cache area.

Setting a Trace Level
  1. In SAP NetWeaver Administrator select   Resource Monitoring   JCo Monitoring   Trace Level  

  2. Select the required cluster nodes to display the related trace settings.

  3. Enter the path under which the trace files should be stored.

  4. If required you can change the following trace settings: RFC Trace (On/Off), JCo Trace Level (0– 10), CPIC Trace Level (0–3). Choose Modify to accept the changes to the settings and save your changes using Save.

  5. If you want to set the same trace settings for multiple cluster nodes select the required cluster nodes and choose the pushbutton Mass Operation.
