You can use the Theme Editor or the UI Theme Designer to develop one or more themes for your portal users.

You can use the Theme Editor or the UI Theme Designer to develop one or more themes for your portal users. Your own themes are always based on one of the templates provided by SAP. You can change the templates to meet your requirements, for example by changing the background color or swapping images and logos. The UI Theme Designer enables you to use dynamic stylesheet language files (.less files). To edit portal themes using the UI Theme Designer, you must first activate it from SAP NetWeaver Administrator. For further information on using the UI Theme Designer, in SAP Help Portal, navigate to Start of the navigation path SAP NetWeaver Next navigation step User Interface Add-On for SAP NetWeaver Next navigation step UI Theme Designer End of the navigation path.

Note Changes made to parameters of standard SAP Portal themes using the UI Theme Designer do not inherit parameter changes that are part of an upgrade of SAP NetWeaver. For example, if you reduce the size of a button that is aligned to the left of the screen by default, and SAP changes the default alignment in a future upgrade, your customized theme will inherit this change while retaining your reduced button size.

When working with the UI Theme Designer, dedicated previews of portal framework pages are available.

You can manually edit dynamic stylesheet language files (.less files) in the Web Resource Repository.
