The SAP Management Console perspective in the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio (Developer Studio) enables you to monitor and perform basic administration tasks on SAP systems.
You can manage local and remote systems from your development environment without the need to use additional tools. Using the SAP Management Console perspective you can:
Monitor and control (start, stop, or restart) the SAP system and its instances with a single tool.
Display SAP log and trace files, start profiles, instance parameters, the SAP system environment, Internet Communication Manager (ICM) queue statistics, and so on.
Display and control Java processes.
Monitor system alerts.
Display the list of all access points (ports and associated protocols) to an SAP system.
Display information about a lot of the AS Java internals like threads, sessions, caches, aliases, Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) sessions, and remote objects.
Display Java Virtual Machine garbage collection and heap memory information for the application server.
Start external tools (such as Telnet and the Config Tool), if available, to manage an application server.
The SAP MC displays the SAP node, the instance nodes, and the relevant database nodes in a tree structure in the navigation pane.
