The SAP Management Console perspective in the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio (Developer Studio) includes context menus that offer a number of useful functions.
The context menus enable you to start, stop and restart individual processes, instances or the whole system. You can also configure the settings of the SAP Management Console (SAP MC).
The context menus differ depending on the item that is selected in the navigation pane or in the result pane. The following table explains some of the main context menu options:

You have to manually configure the path to the executable file of the Telnet client that you want to use to administer AS Java. To do so, in the <user_home> directory of the operation system, open the .sapmc file with a text editor, and enter the relevant path.
Do not rename the .sapmc file.
You can configure the SAP MC settings in accordance with your requirements. In the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio, choose . On the Preferences screen, choose SAP Management Console .
