Performing Transports of SLD Data with
CTS
The existing Change and Transport System used for the transport of ABAP objects got enhanced so that it now also lets you transport Java objects (J2EE, JEE) and SAP-specific non-ABAP technologies ‑ such as SLD data ‑ in your landscape. By using this enhanced Change and Transport System (CTS) you can import all objects relevant for the transport into a target system whereas the system performs the required deployment step automatically.
The following steps describe how you can use CTS to transport SLD data in your landscape.
· The enhanced CTS functions are available with SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SPS 13 and higher. Therefore, your SLD systems must have SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SPS 13 or higher applied.
· You have created non-ABAP systems as SLD source system and as SLD target system in CTS.
· You have performed the following configuration steps:
○ Configuring a destination service
○ Choosing a file transfer method
○ Choosing a transport strategy

1. Open the home page of your SLD source system at http://<host>:<port>/sld.
2. On the Welcome screen, proceed according to the object you want to export:
○ If you want to export a product or a software component, choose Software Catalog ® Products or Software Components.

You can export non-SAP products and software components only!
○ If you want to export a technical system or a business system, choose Landscape ®Technical Systems or Business Systems.
3. Select the objects you want to export and choose Export.
According your chosen transport strategy a transport request is proposed or you have to create one by choosing Create/Select Request.

If you want to change a proposed request, select another request by choosing Create/Select Request and choose Refresh.
4. In the Note field, enter a short description of your request.
5. Choose Attach Exported Data to attach the export to the transport request.
6. If you want to attach further objects to the transport request, choose Home and proceed as in the above described steps 2 to 5.
7. Choose Process Requests to release the transport request.
You have released the transport request.
To make the transported objects available in your SLD target system, you have to import them into the system.
