Consolidation (EC-CS)

A fundamental step within the consolidation of investments in which the SAP system processes the following consolidation items, in particular:

• Investments
• Stockholders' equity
• Minority ownership in investment or equity
• Goodwill

SAP Consolidation provides the following activities:

• Purchase, sale, and transfer of ownership, including the resulting changes in indirect investments
• Increase and reduction in stockholders' equity
• Recognition of minority interest in retained earnings
• Amortization, impairment, and elimination of goodwill
• Change of the method used for the consolidation of investments

The SAP system posts one document per activity.
