Invalid Certification
A certification is invalid if at least one of the following points applies:
· The form has been changed without permission.
¡ The changes made do not match the permitted changes that have been defined as not invalidating this form. For information about defining permitted changes to forms, see Certification of Forms.
¡ Changes have been made to fields that are blocked against user input.
¡ Changes have been made to elements of the layout, such as fixed texts or graphics.
¡ The form has been changed while being transported.
· The expiration date of the certificate has passed.
· The certificate is not trustworthy. It has not been issued by an accepted Certification Authority (CA).

If a certificate has been configured as trusted, then it is entered under Trusted Anchors in the J2EE Engine Visual Administrator on the server -side, and under Trusted Identities in Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader on the client side. It is also configured for certified documents. For more information, see the Adobe Document Services Configuration Guide and the online help in Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader.

Depending on the application, the certification check may also display a message stating that the certification is unknown.
· The certificate has been revoked. It is included in a Certificate Revocation List (CRL) of the issuing CA.
