Purpose

Using the Designing A2A Integration IT process, you can import, create, and manage all design objects that you need for your integration scenario in the Integration Repository.

Prerequisites

To use this process, you must first configure the system landscape for your integration scenario.

Process Flow

The process runs in the usage types AS and PI:

       1.      Import content (PI)

You import your content to the Integration Repository.

       2.      Import adapter metadata (PI)

You import the metadata of your non-SAP adapters to the Integration Repository.

       3.      Model integration scenario (PI)

You model your integration scenario in the Integration Repository.

       4.      Design interfaces (PI)

You design the required interfaces in the Integration Repository.

       5.      Design mappings (PI)

You design the required mappings in the Integration Repository.

       6.      Model integration processes (PI)

You model the integration processes involved in the Integration Repository.

       7.      Activate change lists (PI)

You activate your change lists in the Integration Repository.

       8.      Generate proxies (AS)

You generate the proxies for your applications in accordance with the interfaces.

       9.      Implement code (AS)

You implement the code required for the proxies in your applications.

Result

You have created the design objects for your integration scenario in the Integration Repository.
