With SAP NetWeaver 7.0, SPS13 you can activate automatic request invalidation for an archiving request in the administration of an InfoProvider or in archive administration (transaction SARA).

In the past it was only possible to manually set a request to invalid. When you activate automatic request invalidation, an archiving request that has the status yellow during the write or verification phase is automatically set to invalid. In this way you can prevent an InfoProvider from being locked for further actions. Otherwise the DataStore object remains locked against activation of a new request and other actions that result in a modification of the data in the active table. This is true especially for DataStore objects with a time slice characteristic from the data part that is nevertheless used as the primary partitioning characteristic in the archive.
