Creating a link to the Knowledge Warehouse

       1.      Start transaction SFW2

       2.      In the Business Function column, double-click on the name of the function you want to edit.

       3.      Choose the This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Selected pushbutton.

The business function opens in change mode.

       4.      In the pane below, choose the Information tab page.

       5.      In the Knowledge Warehouse group box, you can maintain a prefix, an industry and a release for the business function.

       6.      Choose the Create pushbutton.

Knowledge Warehouse starts and there you need to log in and specify the link to the documentation.

Adding release information

On the Information tab page, in the Doc. name field, use the F4 help to select a suitable release note for the selected business funtion.

Assigning a test catalogue

On the Information tab page, in the Catalogue name field, use the F4 help to select a suitable test catalogue entry for the selected business funtion.

Checking Information About Business Functions

In transaction SFW5, you can check the following information about business functions:

Field

Description

Light bulb indicator

Before the name of each business function there is a light bulb indicator. It indicates whether the business function is switched on or off.

Name

Name of the business function.

Description

Description of the business function.

Scheduled Status

The planned status of the business function. If the column is empty, there is no actual status.

If the status is set to obsolete, you cannot switch the business function on.

Dependencies

If you click on the Display Dependencies icon, you will get a list of all dependencies and exclusions applicable to the business function.

Here are the possible states of the icon:

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text The Business Function has dependencies. The prerequisites are not fulfilled yet. There is no red light because a conflict has not occurred yet.

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text The Business Function has unsolved dependencies. The Business Function is switched on but its prerequisites are not fulfilled.

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text The Business Function has solved dependencies. All prerequisites are fulfilled.

Documentation

A link to the document in the Knowledge Warehouse you have assigned to the business function.

Release Note

Release notes applicable to the business function.

Release

The release for which the business function is relevant.

Dependencies

Here you can check if there are any required or conflicting business functions.

Test Catalogue

A link to a test catalogue you have assigned to the business function.

Activated on

The date on which the business function was activated.
