Transport Organizer Web UI provides you with the functions for the handling and administration of non-ABAP object transports.

Layout of Transport Organizer Web UI

The Transport Organizer Web UI screen is arranged into a top and a bottom half.

The top half of the screen (the basic settings and activities) provides you with various pushbuttons for the administration of your transport requests or the transport requests of other users. The transport requests themselves are displayed in a request list contained in a table. This table shows you the number of the transport request, a description, and the responsible user.

The bottom half of the screen (a detailed view of the transport requests) consists of information on tab pages. The information displayed depends on the settings and activities configured and displayed in the top half of the screen. The bottom half of the screen also contains various functions, such as a function for deleting objects attached to transport requests.

Basic Settings

You must make these settings in the top half of the screen before you start processing transport requests.

      User

When you start Transport Organizer Web UI, you see your own user name in the User field. This means that all transport requests are displayed that have been created under your user name.

If you have an appropriate authorization, you can also display and process the transport requests of other users. You can use the F4 help to select a different user. You must then refresh the top half of the screen to display the transport requests created and edited by the other user. The transport requests are displayed in the refreshed request list, and can now be edited by you.

      Status

The status of a transport request indicates whether it is still being processed (Modifiable) or whether it has been released.

When you start Transport Organizer Web UI, the Status field changes to Modifiable automatically. This means that all transport requests are displayed that are not yet released. The bottom half of the screen contains the tab pages Properties and Object List.

When you set the request status to Released, all released requests of the currently displayed user are displayed. The pushbuttons for modifying the transport requests are inactive. A dropdown menu appears that shows the time the request was released and the Transport Logs tab page is displayed in the bottom half of the screen.

      Time of release

You can select a time frame in the dropdown menu (such as Since yesterday) to display all transport requests released in the relevant period.

Activities

You can perform the following activities in the top half of the screen:

      Create transport requests

Flag a transport request as a standard request

Add objects (files) to a transport request. You have two options, depending on your application:

Attach objects from a file system

Attach objects directly in the application

      Release transport requests

Delete transport requests in Transport Organizer Web UI

You can then import transport requests containing non-ABAP objects.

Detailed View of the Transport Requests

The bottom half of the screen provides you with the following display and editing functions on the tab pages:

      Properties of a transport request

This function shows you the detailed properties of the transport request selected in the top half of the screen. These properties include the Responsible Person and Transport Status as well as the Project, Source Client, and the date on which the request was last changed (Last Changed On).

You can modify the following properties as required:

       Description

       Project

Person responsible (using the Change Owner pushbutton)

       Target system

      Attributes

Object lists in Transport Organizer Web UI

Log display in Transport Organizer Web UI
