In SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SPS 10, the following enhancements are available in the data transfer process (DTP):
If you are updating attributes or texts to an InfoObject using the DTP, you can now specify the number of data records with the same record key within a request that the system can process. In DTP maintenance on the Update tab page, you set the Handle Duplicate Record Keys indicator to specify the number of data records. This indicator corresponds to the Ignore Double Data Records indicator in the scheduler for a data flow that was modeled using a transformation, as used in a 3.x data flow. Unlike the indicator in the scheduler, the indicator in the DTP can be set for time-dependent attributes and texts as well as attributes and texts that are time independent. With time-dependent data, the system calculates new validity periods depending on the sequence of data records in a data package.
For more
information, see
Handling Duplicate
Data Records.
Since a DTP bundles all transfer-relevant requests from the source, it sometimes generates large requests. If you do not want to use a single DTP request to transfer the dataset from the source because the dataset is too large, for example, you can set the Get Data Request by Request indicator. This specifies that you want the DTP to read only one request from the source at a time. You set this indicator in DTP maintenance on the Extraction tab page.
You can change this indicator at any time, even if data has already been transferred.
Note that during delta update, requests may back up in the source if more requests are posted in the source than are updated using the DTP in a particular time frame.

Processes.
