The following names have been changed:

BI accelerator box

BI accelerator delta index

BI accelerator engine

BI accelerator index

BI accelerator index maintenance

BI accelerator monitor

BI Accelerator Monitor

The BI accelerator monitor is used for the technical administration and maintenance of the BI accelerator. It provides an overview of the current status of the BI accelerator.

The BA accelerator monitor displays the results of the consistency checks. These checks run periodically on the BI accelerator. If problems occur, the system automatically proposes appropriate actions. These actions involve BI accelerator repair functions which can be used to solve problems.

So that you can quickly assess the status of the BI accelerator, there is a quick overview function for the BI accelerator monitor that summarizes the most important check results.

The detailed BI accelerator monitor offers a detailed, technical overview of the hardware, BI accelerator services, any trace files that exist and the BI accelerator indexes.

For more information, see Using the BI Accelerator Monitor.

Traces for BI Accelerator

When errors occur it can be useful to record system responses in the form of traces. SAP support has tools to evaluate these traces.

To record traces for query execution, use the query monitor.

To log performance traces, use the BI accelerator monitor.

For more information, see Traces for BI Accelerator.
