With SAP NetWeaver 7.0, the following changes have been made in the IMG to the Enterprise Data Warehousing scenario under the Business Intelligence structure node:

The following activities are new:

●      Performance Settings  ®  Quantity Conversion: Set Buffer Size: You use this activity to make settings for quantity conversion.

●      Performance Settings  ® Settings for Database Interfaces: You use this activity to make settings with regard to the performance of the database interface.

●      Performance Settings  ® Settings for Database Interfaces (Oracle): You use this activity to make settings with regard to the performance of the database interface for Oracle.

●      Reporting-Relevant Settings ® General Reporting Settings  ® Analysis Authorizations: Select Concept: You use this activity to choose whether you want to use the new concept for analysis authorizations or the former concept for reporting authorizations.

●      BI Documents ® Create a CM Repository for Documents: You use this activity to set up CM repositories in the portal.

●      BI Documents ® Migration of Documents to the CM Repository: You use this activity to migrate documents into the CM repository.

●      Technical Content ® Activate Conversion of InfoObjects: You use this activity to activate the data store for converting InfoObjects in BI Content.

The following activities have changed:

●      Performance Settings  ® Parameters for Aggregates: Two parameters have been added to this activity.

●      Performance Settings  ® Maintain Runtime Parameters of DataStore Objects: New parameters have been added to this activity. Furthermore, you now make these settings for each DataStore object on an individual basis.

●      BI Documents  ® BI Metadata Search / Administer Document Management: Various new settings have been added to this activity for the BI metadata search.

The following activities are obsolete:

●      General BI Settings  ® Settings for Authorizations: In SAP NetWeaver 7.0, authorizations for MultiProviders are always checked by authorization object S_RS_MPRO, irrespective of this setting.

The following activities have been deleted because they are obsolete:

●      Properties for InfoProviders: You can only access these settings in InfoProvider maintenance under Environment  ® InfoProvider Properties.

●      Microsoft Analysis Integration:

○       Connection between Microsoft Analysis Services and BW

○       Create RFC destinations

○       Create MOLAP database
