Creating a User for Fetching the Catalog and Pull Actions 

In order to fetch the catalog of the syndicator and to transfer the content using pull, the subscriber has to authenticate itself with the syndicator system using a user and password.

The syndicator has to create a user that the subscriber can use for authentication. The syndicator does this in the user management of the syndicator system. This user does not need to be entered in the access control lists (ACLs) of folders or documents.

The syndicator has to let the subscriber have all necessary contact information (user, password, and URL) in another manner, such as by telephone.

The subscriber enters this information when creating the syndicator in the subscriber system.
