Process documentation Changing Info Objects  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

This procedure is used to create info objects in the Knowledge Workbench. These info objects are displayed to users using the SAP KW Viewer presentation tool, the Web browser, or the HTML Help Viewer.

Process Flow

...

       1.      You start the Knowledge Workbench.

If you are working online, you can access info objects that are stored in SAP KW.

If you are working offline, you can only access info objects in the local repository.

       2.      You set the required context:

¡        The language in which you create info objects

¡        Enhancement name and enhancement release

       3.      You create a folder for the info objects.

       4.      You create a structure.

A content object is created as a placeholder for the structure title.

       5.      You edit info objects.

You create new content objects and insert them in the structure.

You edit the structure.

You edit the content objects and insert hyperlinks to other content objects.

       6.      You check in the new and changed info objects.

       7.      You assign index entries for the content objects in the Documentation area.

The info objects can then be found by other SAP KW users and online help users with an index search.

       8.      You link info objects with contexts in the SAP system using help links, for example, with a certain transaction or screen.

This enables a context-sensitive display of the info objects.

       9.      You check the following for the folders:

¡        Hyperlinks between content objects with the consistency checks

¡        Help links with the help link check

¡        Content and format of content objects in the Web browser

¡        Context-sensitive display when calling Application Help

   10.      You correct the info objects in online editing.

   11.      You release the info objects in the folder for translation.

Note

You can only assign the For release status once the release has been activated.

   12.      You transport the released info objects to the consolidation system.

   13.      You check the following for the transported info objects:

¡        Completeness

¡        Hyperlinks between content objects with the consistency checks

¡        Context-sensitive display when calling Application Help
