You can create a structure and insert it as a link or include.

To insert a new structure in the structure:

1. Place the cursor where the new structure should be inserted.
2. Choose Info Object ® Insert ® At Same Level or As Subnode.

The Insert Info Object dialog box appears.

3. Choose Create New Info Object.

The Info Object Class dialog box appears:

4. Choose an info object class and copy it.

The Create Structure dialog box appears.

5. Enter the required data and choose Enter.



When creating structures, you can define whether it is a book structure or a substructure in the Usage Type field. You can find the possible values in the value help.

If the structure to be created is a substructure (e.g. structure includes), you do not have to make an entry in this field.

The maintenance screen for the root content object of the structure appears.



Component is entered as the content type since (according to the information design) it is the content type assigned to the first content object of a structure.

If you do not want to use this content type, assign the content object a different content type.

6. Enter the required data.
7. Save your entries and return.

The Structure: <Technical name of the structure> dialog box appears .

8. Define whether the structure should be inserted as an include or a link.

• you use a structure once in a main structure.

• you want to use smaller structures more than once.

1. Save the structure.

The structure is created with a content object and inserted in the structure as a new node.
